$6,000 Scenario for Ethereum, $824.42 Million Net Inflow Recorded
Last week, a total of $824.42 million net inflow was recorded into spot Ethereum ETFs in the U.S. Tom Lee, the president of BitMine, brought up the $6,000 ETH scenario, stating that Ethereum could continue its upward trend for the remainder of the year. Lee expressed that political developments and new capital flows could be factors supporting Ethereum's price. In his remarks on The Milk Road Show, Lee highlighted four significant developments that could support Ethereum. The first is the potential acceptance of the CLARITY Act in the U.S. in September. Additionally, short positions in over-the-counter markets and the return of pending capital to the market are also important catalysts. The shift of capital towards crypto assets in Asia and the increased purchases by global institutional investors due to quarterly performance pressure are also supportive factors. Lee noted that Ethereum's performance against Bitcoin could also be critical. He indicated that the ETH/BTC ratio could rise again to the level of 0.08 it reached in the past, and pointed to 0.04 as a more conservative scenario. He stated that if Bitcoin's price reaches $150,000 and the ETH/BTC ratio recovers to 0.04, the price of Ethereum could rise to $6,000. Lee also emphasized the future use cases of Ethereum, stating that asset tokenization and AI agent-based finance will be the two most significant trends shaping the cryptocurrency market in the coming years.
