Ansem Turns Bearish on US Stocks, Claims Macro Cycle is Coming to an End
On October 29, renowned trader Ansem stated in the podcast "Market Bubble" that he has recently shifted from a bullish to a bearish stance, having reduced his positions and taken profits over the past few days, while also shorting some stocks. Ansem believes that mainstream stocks have risen significantly, accumulating a large amount of unrealized profits, with almost no significant corrections, and that de-risking and profit-taking are now beginning to occur. He thinks that the US stock market may have reached the end of the macro cycle, with funds starting to withdraw. Regarding cryptocurrencies, Ansem pointed out that Q3 showed strong performance, but it may just be a counter-trend rebound rather than the start of a new bull market. He noted that cryptocurrencies had previously outperformed stocks, rebounding after being oversold; if stocks continue to weaken, it could drag down the crypto market, with Bitcoin potentially falling back to around $70,000. Nevertheless, Ansem remains optimistic about stock tokenization, viewing it as a key pathway to bringing more traditional capital onto the blockchain, and sees it as a catalyst for the next wave of real user and capital inflows, rather than merely a byproduct of a bear market. He also reiterated his positive outlook on the ZEC token, emphasizing its privacy features compared to Bitcoin.
