Aptos Launches Encrypted Mempool Feature to Prevent Front-Running and Sandwich Attacks

By: www.odaily.news|10/20/2026 01:07:52

Layer 1 blockchain Aptos has announced that its Encrypted Mempool feature is now live on the mainnet, aimed at reducing risks associated with Maximum Extractable Value (MEV), including front-running and sandwich attacks. This feature is an optional mechanism that, when enabled by users, keeps pending transactions encrypted until the final order of block transactions is determined, preventing bots from obtaining information about transaction assets, amounts, and smart contract interactions in advance, and using this information to execute targeted trades. Aptos stated that this feature is primarily aimed at institutions executing large on-chain transactions, traders looking to reduce MEV risks, AI agents, and developers.
