Financial Regulatory Authority to Bring All Financial Activities Under Supervision
On October 19, the 2026 Financial Street Forum Annual Conference was held in Beijing. Ding Xiangqun, head of the National Financial Regulatory Administration, stated that the overall operation of China's banking and insurance sectors is stable, with large institutions operating soundly and the reform of small and medium-sized institutions progressing in an orderly manner, with risks generally under control. The Financial Regulatory Authority will cooperate with all parties to crack down on illegal financial activities, strengthen supervision of financial activities across regions, departments, and new business models and products, and legally bring all financial activities under supervision, striving for comprehensive coverage without exceptions.
