Jensen Huang at G20: AI Infrastructure Investment Needs $50 to $60 Billion
At the G20 Innovation Ministers' Meeting, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated that AI is becoming a national-level economic infrastructure, and insufficient investment will cause countries to fall behind in the industrial revolution. He pointed out that building 1 gigawatt of AI infrastructure requires an investment of about $50 to $60 billion, and it is expected that by the end of this decade, the scale of related construction will reach about 100 gigawatts. Huang mentioned that countries need to build AI infrastructure according to their own circumstances and participate in a five-layer cake model involving energy, chips, infrastructure, models, and applications. He predicted that in the coming years, AI will essentially achieve AGI, with development shifting from large language models to intelligent agents and embodied intelligence. He believes that AI is more likely to replace tasks rather than jobs, with operational tasks such as writing and information processing gradually becoming automated.
