LEO Flight Introduces LEO Solo, a One-Seat Ultralight Flying Vehicle
LEO Flight has unveiled the LEO Solo, a one-seat ultralight flying vehicle designed for personal transportation. This model combines the design of a motorcycle and an aircraft, and is intended to be stored in a garage. The LEO Solo operates under the Part 103 rules of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the United States, allowing it to fly without a certificate of airworthiness or a pilot's license, as long as it complies with regulations. This eVTOL can take off and land vertically, flying at a maximum altitude of 15 feet and with a range of 10 to 15 minutes, making it ideal for short trips. The vehicle is already available for reservation with a refundable deposit of $999, and its base price is $99,900. The LEO Solo uses 48 electric ducted fans, distributed across four sectors, which reduces exposure to rotating components and maintains an estimated noise level of 80 decibels. The structure occupies approximately 43 square feet, similar to a large bed, and features an integrated safety arch. LEO Flight has conducted flight tests with a prototype and plans for the vehicle to be chargeable at home.
