LG Electronics Advances Blockchain Advertising Business
LG Electronics is expanding its digital advertising business utilizing blockchain technology from the experimental phase to the commercialization phase. On the 28th, Park Byeong-seon, head of LG Electronics' blockchain research lab, introduced the use cases of blockchain and future business directions at the 'Ethereum Korea One: Genesis' conference held in Yeouido, Seoul. Park stated that the inefficiencies in the digital advertising market prompted the application of blockchain technology, which has now led to actual business outcomes. Currently, a Japanese advertising partner has decided to commercialize LG's advertising products and has launched the service. LG Electronics has been working with Arbitrum to address issues in the digital advertising market, emphasizing the need for a tailored approach. In the future, they plan to scale the Web3 advertising business centered around Japanese partners and secure more advertisers and advertising products. Park added that while companies face challenges in applying blockchain, it will become easier to utilize as technology development accumulates.
