Ripple Expands Partnerships
On the 6th, U.S. Ripple announced that it is deepening its relationship with Brevan Howard, an alternative investment management company with approximately $35 billion in assets under management. With the expansion of the contract, Ripple Prime will provide Brevan Howard's funds with prime brokerage, clearing, and lending services across multiple asset classes.
According to Ripple, there is a growing demand for prime brokerage services that span traditional and digital markets among major global investment management firms, within a framework suitable for regulated enterprises. Alan McGloarty, COO of Brevan Howard Group, also stated that as the connection between digital and traditional markets strengthens, there is an increasing demand for digital asset infrastructure at the institutional investor level.
In response, Ripple Prime will provide Brevan Howard with a comprehensive prime service that crosses asset classes and products through an integrated platform designed to enhance capital efficiency and simplify operations.
Noel Kimmel, president of Ripple Prime, stated that Brevan Howard's adoption reflects an appreciation for competitiveness and asset cross-functionality, and the expansion of the relationship reflects a commitment to sharing long-term success.

This expansion is based on Brevan Howard's support for Ripple, with funds managed by its affiliates participating in Ripple's $500 million strategic investment in 2025.
Brevan Howard has a dedicated cryptocurrency division called "BH Digital," which raised over $1 billion from institutional investors in August 2022. However, the performance of BH Digital's fund in 2025 was reported to be approximately -30%.
Additionally, Brevan Howard Capital Management reported in its quarterly holdings report submitted to the U.S. SEC that it held approximately 37.5 million shares of BlackRock's Bitcoin spot ETF "iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT)" at the end of the April to June 2025 period. By the end of the April to June 2026 period, its holdings were approximately 7.2 million shares, valued at about $240 million, which represents a decrease of about 70% from the previous quarter's end.
