According to Twitter user Sam Price, Lugano welcomed Bitcoin enthusiasts this week, with the second day of the Plan ₿ Forum 2026 taking place at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano. Speakers included Adam Back, Samson Mow, Saifedean Ammous, Elizabeth Stark, and Paolo Ardoino from Tether. Since 2022, the city has supported Bitcoin, and now hundreds of merchants accept Bitcoin payments.
