Samsung's Lee Jae-yong Discusses AI and Semiconductor Collaboration with OpenAI
Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong met with OpenAI founder Sam Altman at OpenAI's headquarters in San Francisco to discuss collaboration in the fields of artificial intelligence and semiconductors. OpenAI announced on the 26th that Lee Jae-yong and Altman held talks on the morning of the 25th. The specific details of the discussions were not disclosed, but industry observers believe that the two parties may deepen cooperation on AI infrastructure, including high-bandwidth memory, dynamic random-access memory (DRAM), and advanced wafer fabrication. Additionally, they may explore digital transformation solutions for the implementation of generative artificial intelligence across Samsung's entire business line.
