According to research by CryptoRank, as of August 2026, the cumulative recharge amount of stablecoin cards is $13.8 billion, marking a 38% increase over the year. Demand for using stablecoins for purchasing goods is rising, regardless of price fluctuations in the digital asset market. Among the stablecoins used for card payments, USDC holds the largest share, while USDT is also expanding its market share. The payment volumes for cards by blockchain show that Base leads with $1.2 billion, followed by Solana with $635 million and Polygon with $544 million. The competitive landscape for digital asset cards is expanding beyond simple payments to include financial services, with some services introducing methods that utilize digital assets as collateral. However, digital asset cards do not replace existing payment networks, and traditional card networks like Visa and Mastercard continue to play a significant role.
