Teller launches AI-underwritten token-backed loans and pools
Teller launched On-Demand Lending (ODL), allowing users to post eligible tokens as collateral or create automated lending pools across over 10 chains. Debit AI evaluates a token’s contract, liquidity, trading activity, time since issuance, and price to establish lending terms. If a token meets eligibility criteria, users can create loan offers or pools within approved permissions and funding limits. Once a loan offer is activated and funded, token holders can borrow stablecoins without selling their tokens. Returns for lenders in the pools depend on borrowing activity and repayment. Teller stated there are no margin calls during the loan term, but borrowers must repay by maturity or complete any available extension. Collateral linked to delinquent loans may be sold through a 24-hour Dutch auction, with token and network eligibility requirements applying, and neither funding nor returns are guaranteed.
