Ukrainians Can Apply for Job Loss Due to War
The International Register of Damage for Ukraine has opened category A3.4 "Loss of Paid Employment." Applications can be submitted by Ukrainians who have lost their jobs and sources of income due to the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation. Both employees and self-employed individuals can apply. For individual entrepreneurs who have lost profits, category A3.5 "Loss of Private Entrepreneurship" has been opened. Applications are submitted through the "Diia" portal. The register records claims for harm, losses, and injuries caused by Russian aggression; however, submitting a claim does not guarantee automatic compensation. The register collects information for an international compensation mechanism and currently has 22 categories of applications for individuals, legal entities, and government bodies. The "Diia" portal has also launched 6 new categories for applications regarding damaged or destroyed property.
