U.S. Economy Grows 3.4% in Q3, Exceeding Expectations
The U.S. economy grew at an annual rate of 3.4% in the third quarter, up from 2.2% in the second quarter and surpassing analysts' expectations of 3.2%. The ongoing surge in artificial intelligence investments continues to drive economic growth, with significant investments by U.S. companies in AI data centers and high-tech equipment providing crucial support for the economy. Despite persistent inflationary pressures, consumer spending remains robust. Federal Reserve Chairman Waller stated that economic growth momentum is strengthening, consumer spending is performing well, and capital expenditures as a share of GDP are at historical highs.
