American Bitcoin Q2 Financial Report: Bitcoin Mining Output Approximately 932 Coins, Reserves Increase to Over 8000 Coins
American Bitcoin has released its financial report for the second quarter of 2026. The Bitcoin holdings increased from 7,021 coins at the end of the first quarter to 8,002 coins, a quarterly increase of approximately 981 coins, representing a growth rate of about 14%. The per-share Satoshi holding increased by about 11%, reaching approximately 10,989 Satoshis. The mining output for the second quarter was approximately 932 coins, setting a new historical high for a single quarter, up from 817 coins in the first quarter. The mining revenue for the second quarter was approximately $67 million, an increase of about 8% quarter-over-quarter; despite a drop in Bitcoin prices of about 12%, the gross margin remained around 50%, with the cost of mining a single Bitcoin approximately $36,500, remaining stable compared to the first quarter. The net loss for the second quarter was approximately $57.15 million, with adjusted EBITDA at negative $45.03 million, narrowing from a negative $91.28 million in the first quarter. As of the end of the quarter, the total number of the company's own mining machines was approximately 89,200 units, with a total hash rate of about 28.1 EH/s. In April, the company completed the full power-up of approximately 11,300 new generation mining machines at the Hut 8 Drumheller mining site, adding approximately 3.05 EH/s of hash rate.
