Circle Becomes Chelsea's Front Shirt Sponsor, USDC Logo to Debut in 2026/27 Season
Stablecoin issuer Circle has reached a sponsorship agreement with Premier League club Chelsea, becoming its chief partner and official front shirt sponsor. According to reports, the Circle and USDC brand logos will appear on the jerseys of Chelsea's men's, women's, and youth teams starting in the 2026/27 season. Circle stated that this partnership brings USDC to one of the largest global stages in sports, reflecting its scale and ambition. Circle's CEO Jeremy Allaire emphasized that the philosophy of USDC is to make currency operate seamlessly like the internet, and the collaboration with Chelsea connects the global sports community. Chelsea chairman Jason Gannon noted that this partnership places Chelsea at the forefront of the digital evolution in football. The specific financial details and duration of the agreement have not been disclosed. This collaboration comes as the cryptocurrency industry seeks to rebuild its presence in sports sponsorship following a market downturn in 2022. Chelsea will debut the jerseys featuring the Circle and USDC logos in their home match against Brighton on Sunday.
