Circle Develops Arc Partition Feature, Payment Partition Aims for Over 100,000 Transactions Per Second
Circle revealed during its Q3 earnings call that it is developing partition features for Arc, providing dedicated channels to support different types of financial activities. This includes privacy partitions aimed at institutions, a payment partition targeting over 100,000 transactions per second, and an AI Agent partition equipped with identity verification and audit tracking. Circle expects that by Q1 2027, AI Agents will be discoverable, hireable, payable, and trustworthy on Arc. As of late October, the total amount of USDC, cirBTC, and EURC on Arc is approximately $1.5 billion, with over $30 billion in USDC having circulated on Arc since its launch, resulting in a daily transaction volume of about 500,000. By October 30, the annualized payment volume of Circle's payment network has exceeded $58 billion, a growth of over 150% from $23 billion on July 31, with 205 financial institutions having joined, and CPN is expected to contribute significant revenue by 2027. In Q3, USDC accounted for 79% of the on-chain transaction volume of stablecoins, up from 66% in the same period last year; the total amount of USDC minted and redeemed reached a record $208 billion, a year-on-year increase of 42%.
