Franklin Templeton Increases Tokenized Funds on Stellar to $1.1 Billion
Franklin Templeton's real-world assets on the Stellar network have reached $1.1 billion. This increase was driven by a net capital inflow of $200 million into the tokenized money market fund BENJI. Stellar has emerged as one of the prominent networks for Franklin Templeton, surpassing Ethereum and following BNB Chain. According to a report by the RWA Foundation, a significant gap has emerged in institutional fund volumes between Stellar and XRP Ledger. Stellar holds a stronger position in the distribution and utilization of institutional assets. A large portion of RWA liquidity in the Stellar ecosystem is concentrated on four major platforms. Spiko holds half of the market with an approximate tokenized fund size of $2 billion. Franklin Templeton ranks second with its flagship fund, while BlackRock-backed Ondo and Realiz each stand at around $500 million. Franklin Templeton's presence on the XRP Ledger is limited to the $200 million sgBENJI fund. Stellar has achieved nearly ten times the unique RWA token ownership compared to XRPL. While Stellar sees hundreds of millions of dollars in monthly asset distribution volume, XRPL remains at $22 million. A significant gap has also emerged in the use of stablecoins; it has been noted that digital dollars linked to Stellar are heavily used in commercial payments. The monthly transfer volume on Stellar has reached $20.48 billion, while XRPL remains at $9 million. The momentum on Stellar is expected to accelerate in the second half of 2026 due to industry integrations.
