Ripple Dollar Supply Reaches $2.369 Billion, Ethereum Share Increases
As of August 31, the supply of Ripple's stablecoin, Ripple Dollar (RLUSD), has reached $2.369 billion. The volume on Ethereum (ETH) has surpassed that on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), indicating a change in supply dynamics. According to CoinGecko, the market capitalization of Ripple Dollar is $2.369 billion, with a circulating supply of 2.369 billion RLUSD. Applying the exchange rate of 1 USD to 1,377 KRW on that day, this amounts to approximately 3.263 trillion KRW. Ripple announced on August 25 that the market value of Ripple Dollar exceeded $2 billion. The issuance on the XRP Ledger has reached $1 billion. As of August 30, the supply based on the XRP Ledger was $2.355 billion, while the volume on Ethereum was $1.31 billion. The share of Ethereum is 55.8%, while that of the XRP Ledger is 44.2%. Ripple Dollar is an institutional stablecoin issued on both the XRP Ledger and Ethereum, used for payments and remittances. Recently, an increase in the supply of Ripple Dollar and a rise in the Ethereum share have been observed, indicating a shift in the use cases within the Ripple ecosystem. The expansion of Ripple Dollar's supply is linked to Ripple's institutional infrastructure strategy, and future official circulation and reserve figures will be confirmed in monthly verification reports.
