Jump Trading Provides Market Making Services for Futures on CME and Other Exchanges
Jump Trading and DRW are positioning themselves in the AI computing derivatives market. Jump Trading has formed a dedicated team and plans to use its own balance sheet to assume trading risks, providing market making services for the computing power futures proposed by the CME and Silicon Data, as well as competitive contracts launched by the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and Ornn. DRW also plans to engage in computing power trading through three teams employing different strategies, intending to trade Silicon Data's products, but has not yet decided on participation in other computing power contracts. Analysts believe that this market faces challenges such as insufficient price transparency, significant price differences for GPUs across different regions and configurations, and the inability to store computing power.
