L2BEAT Renamed to ETHBEAT, Expanding Coverage to the Ethereum Ecosystem
The Ethereum Layer 2 data and risk assessment platform L2BEAT has been renamed ETHBEAT, with its research and evaluation scope expanding from L2 to the broader Ethereum ecosystem. ETHBEAT states that the coverage of L2 will not be canceled, and the monitoring intensity will remain unchanged, but it will no longer be the primary focus. ETHBEAT points out that Ethereum scaling has been directly promoted by the L1 protocol layer, and L2 is seeking product-market fit in areas beyond scaling. In the future, L2 and privacy will still be core coverage areas, with liquid staking being added soon; research in areas such as ZK, cross-chain interoperability, tokens, and native Rollups will continue, while also tracking changes in the base layer. Additionally, ETHBEAT has launched the CROPS guide, which includes projects that comply with anti-censorship, open-source, privacy, and security principles. ETHBEAT's new mission is to help users understand and reduce reliance on intermediaries, with the platform's funding sources being transparent and not accepting payments for more favorable evaluation results.
