Morgan Stanley Upgrades Robinhood Rating to Overweight, Target Price Raised to $150
Morgan Stanley has upgraded Robinhood's rating from Hold to Overweight, raising the target price from $124 to $150, which represents an upside of approximately 43% from Monday's closing price. Analysts noted that the market is gradually recognizing Robinhood's accelerated rollout of new products and the expansion of its potential market size, but the monetization capability of its existing user base remains underestimated. Robinhood's approximately 28 million users form a significant growth foundation, with predictions that new businesses like the prediction market are enhancing user asset size, trading activity, and monetization potential. Although the prediction market has fewer than 2 million users, it contributed $156 million in revenue in the second quarter and encouraged users to adopt other products. Analysts also believe that Robinhood's derivatives trading platform and clearinghouse, Rothera, will further expand its distribution advantages and create infrastructure and third-party revenue opportunities.
