New Order Returns to Argentina: How and Where to Buy Tickets for the Show
New Order, one of the most influential bands in the history of British music, is coming to Buenos Aires to perform on December 1 at Mandarine Park.
Born from the ashes of Joy Division and transformed, after a tragedy, into one of the creative forces that redefined music in recent decades, Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, Stephen Morris, and Gillian Gilbert found a new way to blend post-punk with electronic music and club culture. The result was a sound that forever changed popular music and still retains an intact hypnotic quality today.
Tickets will be available through Passline on August 5 at 12 PM.
From their early steps with Movement (1981), New Order expanded the boundaries of their proposal until they found in Power, Corruption & Lies (1983) a decisive combination of guitars, synthesizers, and influences from the New York club scene. That same year, "Blue Monday" was released, a song that transcended generations and became the best-selling 12-inch single of all time, with over three million copies sold worldwide.
From there, the band built a fundamental discography with albums like Low-Life (1985), Brotherhood (1986), Substance (1987), and Technique (1989), consolidating a unique language where the melancholy of post-punk met the pulse of dance floors. After various breaks and changes in their lineup, New Order continued their journey with works like Republic, Get Ready, and Waiting for the Sirens' Call, culminating in Music Complete (2015), their tenth studio album, which featured guests like Iggy Pop, Brandon Flowers, and Elly Jackson from La Roux.
Far from being trapped in their own legacy, New Order remains a live band. In recent years, they have headlined major tours and festivals around the world, including an arena tour in the United States with Pet Shop Boys in 2022, and an arena tour in the UK and Europe. Their music continues to cross generations: it appears in movies, series, and advertisements, while songs like "World in Motion" maintain their place in the British popular imagination.
With a unique combination of timeless songs, electronics, guitars, and an energy that connects directly with the dance floor, New Order promises an unforgettable night at Mandarine Park. An opportunity to hear live the anthems that marked the history of music and to see why, decades later, their sound remains as relevant, exciting, and irresistible as on the first day.
As a special guest of the night, Tricky, a fundamental figure in British trip hop and responsible for a discography that began with the influential Maxinquaye (1995), an album that became a reference for the genre and marked the start of an extensive solo career. The Bristol artist has already performed in Argentina four times (with his last visit in 2018), and will return to meet the Buenos Aires audience to add his dark and experimental universe to a night of immense musical weight.
