Ratification of the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Turkey
The ratification of the free trade agreement between Ukraine and Turkey will expand access for Ukrainian goods and services to the Turkish market, support exports, and create additional opportunities for attracting investments. After the agreement comes into force, most Ukrainian goods will be able to enter the Turkish market duty-free. For some sensitive product categories, tariff quotas or transitional mechanisms will apply. The agreement is also important for Ukraine's Euro-integration, deepening trade relations with key partners and adapting to modern international trade rules. Ukrainian producers working with Turkish materials will be able to use such components and maintain preferential origin status for exports to the EU. The Verkhovna Rada ratified the agreement on July 14; the document was signed in February 2022 and will come into force after the completion of domestic procedures.
