Ethereum Foundation Calls for Development of Verifiable Chips
The Ethereum Foundation stated that recent trust in hardware has entered a "free fall." The Foundation supports Vitalik Buterin's viewpoint at Devcon 8 in Mumbai, deeming this situation unacceptable. The Foundation pointed out that users should not need to hack their TVs or dismantle hardware wallets to verify the trustworthiness of their devices, emphasizing that accessible, open, and verifiable chips are necessary and welcoming teams to develop such chips.
