Olenox Reports $22.9 Million Deficit After Expanding Mining Operations
Olenox Industries acquired mining company CS Digital Ventures in May, with preliminary production in July amounting to 15.13 BTC. As of June 30, the company had $1.21 million in cash and current liabilities of $26.26 million. According to the quarterly filing on August 19, total current assets as of June 30 were $3.4 million, resulting in a working capital deficit of approximately $22.9 million. The company stated that the losses and negative working capital raise significant doubts about its ability to continue as a going concern. Based on the spot price of Bitcoin at $76,371.25 on August 21, the total value of July's production was approximately $1.16 million, but this figure does not equate to the revenue or available cash disclosed by the company. Olenox received all output in Bitcoin from some of its mining machines, but still owes custodial invoices related to energy, power hosting fees, management fees, and profit-sharing. The operational data for July, including an average hash rate of 1.02 EH/s, is still preliminary and unaudited. The acquisition of CS Digital increased fixed obligations, with Olenox paying an initial consideration of $30 million, which includes $14 million in E-series preferred stock and $16 million in unsecured promissory notes, along with warrants and potential contingent stock consideration. These seven seller notes carry an annual interest rate of 10%, maturing in May 2029, with interest payments starting in August 2026. The company also announced a non-binding letter of intent for a price of approximately $20 million on August 19.
