Slowing China credit growth poses risk for Bitcoin
Slowing growth in new Chinese credit could negatively impact Bitcoin and other risk assets. China's credit impulse, which measures new credit flows relative to the economy, is declining, with a recent Bloomberg index falling to 20.84, the lowest since 2008. Investment strategist Albert Edwards from Societe Generale warned that slower credit creation in China may indicate a broader global economic slowdown, potentially affecting corporate earnings and U.S. stocks. This suggests that Bitcoin may also face challenges if risk aversion increases. CoinDesk noted that the impact of China's credit conditions may be less significant than in the past, and Bitcoin could still rise if U.S. institutional capital continues to support the market. However, if U.S. stocks lose momentum, Bitcoin may also experience downward pressure.
